How Boon Horology Came to Be
The workshop on Mittraphap Road grew from a simple observation: many people in Khon Kaen owned watches worth caring for but had nowhere nearby to take them. Watches were sent to Bangkok, sometimes for months, often at uncertain cost. The local offering was thin.
Boon Horology was established to fill that gap quietly and well. The name Boon carries the meaning of merit and goodness in Thai — a word chosen deliberately to reflect the kind of work being offered: careful, considered, and done with integrity. Not the fastest, not the cheapest, but honest and thorough.
Over the years, the workshop has developed particular depth in heritage restoration — the work of returning old and inherited watches to running condition while respecting what makes them worth keeping. That includes making parts by hand when replacements are unavailable, conserving aged dials rather than replacing them, and treating the watch as an object with a history, not merely a mechanism to be overhauled.
Routine maintenance and strap work remain at the core of what we do, and we welcome any mechanical watch, regardless of brand or origin. The approach is always the same: look carefully, report honestly, and let the owner decide.

Standards We Hold Ourselves To
Written Assessment First
Before any work begins, we provide a written summary of findings and the proposed scope. Nothing proceeds without your agreement.
Calibrated Timing Equipment
We use a watchmaker's timing machine to measure rate accuracy at multiple positions, providing objective data on how your movement is running before and after service.
Secure Handling & Storage
Watches in our care are stored securely, individually, and in conditions suited to sensitive mechanisms. We treat each piece with the same respect as if it were our own.
Only Approved Parts & Materials
We use quality lubricants and materials appropriate to each movement type. For heritage work, we source period-correct or hand-made replacements where possible.
Service Warranty on Completed Work
Completed maintenance and repair carries a service warranty. If a fault arises from work we carried out, we address it without charge.
Open Communication Throughout
